Goodbye 20mm! Hello 32mm!

Oh man, what an insanely boring thing to do!
Rebasing 300~350 models in one go probably wasn’t the best of ideas, but with this most of my 40K infantry models are ready to be painted 🙂

Torturing myself removing old (tiny bases) -_-

So why do I do this to myself? Especially when it’s not against the rules to play with smaller bases, if that’s what the models were supplied with when bought?

32mm base vs. 20mm base

Not only do the bigger bases look better, not having the feet sticking out over the rim. But the bigger bases also provide much better balance to to models, and keeps them from falling over all the time when moving in games… which is VERY annoying when moving 30 Orks or 20 Bloodletters with big swords and banners!

Guess I’m kinda forced myself into getting these done, if I want to play next game lol

PS. That’s the “Trapped under plastic” podcast in the background, making my suffering manageable 🙂 It’s an awesome podcast, and you should give it a listen!

“Skull Reaper the Undying” is born!

Was going to play Orks yesterday, but I woke up early feeling the pull of Khorne!

So quickly threw a couple of knights on bases with blue tak, stuffed a couple of Rhinos with Kharn and berserkers, add unit of Obliterators (Mutilators mark of Dave), Daemon prince, and min cultist squad… And I had a 2000 pts list in 10min lol

Played against a Custodes tournament list, and should honestly have lost. But I chose a fun list, and very aggressive play style (while cultists and deep striking Obliterators watched my home objective) 😉

Khorne was VERY pleased, and blessed my Khorne themed fist/sword wielding knight, with a single remaining wound left with FIVE 5++ invul saves in a row! 😀

The knight then casually decapitated the charging Custodes Shield Captain, and survived the game. Now to be known as SKULL REAPER THE UNDYING!

My first time playing the new Chaos knights, and man am I hooked 😀
